Russia has struck an American enterprise in Transcarpathia with missiles. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"That night, the Russian army set one of its crazy anti-records. They hit civilian infrastructure enterprises, residential buildings, and our people. They spent several cruise missiles against an American enterprise in Transcarpathia. It was an ordinary civilian enterprise, American investments. They produced such familiar household items as coffee machines. And this is also a target for the Russians. Very indicative," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that the fire is still being extinguished at the enterprise, as of now, 15 people are known to have been injured in this attack, all of them have been provided with the necessary assistance.
The President also said that rescuers are working in many other regions, from Zaporizhzhia to Volyn. According to him, a total of 574 strike drones and 40 missiles were used against Ukraine overnight, a significant part of which was shot down, but unfortunately, not all.
Zelenskyy stressed that russia continues its aggression, despite the efforts of the world to stop the war, so it is necessary to increase pressure on it and introduce strong sanctions.
"And the Russians inflicted this blow as if nothing had changed at all. As if there were no efforts by the world to stop this war. A reaction to this is needed. There is still no signal from Moscow that they are really going to go to meaningful negotiations and end this war. Pressure is needed. Strong sanctions, strong tariffs," he stressed.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha also reported on social media that russia had fired a missile at an American electronics manufacturer in Ukraine, causing serious damage and casualties.

Sybiha noted that this was not the first russian attack on American companies in Ukraine, following the strikes on Boeing offices in Kyiv earlier this year.
The minister stressed that the bilateral Ukraine-russia and trilateral Ukraine-US-russia leaders' meetings were critical for diplomacy to work. He added that work to provide Ukraine with reliable security guarantees from partners, including the US and European allies, was equally important. Sybiha noted that the nighttime strikes also demonstrate the urgency of strengthening Ukraine's air defenses with additional systems and interceptors.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Mukachevo City Council reported that a large fire broke out as a result of a massive russian missile attack on an enterprise in Mukachevo, and residents of the city are being asked to close their windows tightly and not go outside unless absolutely necessary.
