On the night of Wednesday, August 20, russian troops launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 93 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to neutralize one missile and 62 drones.
The press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of August 20 (from 7:30 p.m. on August 19), the enemy attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea, as well as 93 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Shatalovo, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - the russian federation) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).
"According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defenses shot down/suppressed an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 62 enemy Shahed UAVs and simulator drones of various types in the north and east of the country," the report says.
Enemy missile and strike UAV hits were recorded at 20 locations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of August 19, the russians launched 10 missiles and 270 drones over Ukraine, and air defense forces managed to neutralize 6 missiles and 230 UAVs.
