On Monday, August 18, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will visit Washington, where he will participate in a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders.
The NATO press service has reported this.
"On 18 August 2025, the NATO Secretary General, Mr Mark Rutte, will visit Washington D.C. The Secretary General will take part in a meeting hosted by the President of the United States, Mr Donald J. Trump, with the President of Ukraine, Mr Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and other European leaders," the message says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he would fly to Washington on Monday, August 18, for talks with Trump.
The New York Times reported that leaders of European countries have also been invited to the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which is scheduled to take place on August 18 in Washington.
