Today, on the night of August 17, the russian occupiers attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 60 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo - russia. The Telegram of the Air Forces of Ukraine has reported this.
It is reported that the air attack was repelled by electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defenses shot down/suppressed 40 enemy Shahed UAVs and simulator drones of various types in the north and east of the country. Missile hits and 20 UAVs were recorded at 12 locations in the front-line areas of the Kharkiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regions," the Air Forces said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, over the past day the enemy engaged 1,568 kamikaze drones for destruction and carried out about 4,000 attacks.
On the night of August 15 (from 7:30 p.m. on August 14), the enemy attacked with 2 Iskander-M missiles and 97 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types.
