Volgograd refinery suspends oil receipts after drone attack — Bloomberg

The Volgograd oil refinery has suspended oil receipts after a Ukrainian drone attack on Thursday, August 14.

Bloomberg reported this, citing its own sources.

As a result of the fall of UAV debris at the facility, oil products caught fire. According to local authorities, it took about 19 hours to extinguish the fire.

The Volgograd refinery is designed to process about 300,000 barrels of oil daily. The bulk of the company's products are delivered to the southern regions of russia.

The agency notes that earlier this year the Volgograd refinery was subjected to several attacks by Ukrainian UAVs.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 15, drones attacked an oil refinery in the city of Syzran, Samara Oblast.

And on August 10, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Saratov refinery. As a result of the hits, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.

Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that since the beginning of 2025, russia's losses from deep attacks by Ukrainian UAVs have exceeded 4% of GDP.
