In Ukraine, as part of the campaign for voluntary declaration of firearms, 11,209 firearms and over 5 million ammunition have already been declared. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
So, it is reported that voluntary declaration of firearms that were found or received by citizens is currently underway. You can declare firearms or ammunition at the units of the National Police of Ukraine.

What do you need to do for this?
To do this, you need to provide the weapon and a package of necessary documents (written application; passport; identification code; extract from the place of residence/registration; 3.5x4.5 photo) to the nearest police unit, after which you wait for the adoption of the appropriate decision.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the weapon permit will be displayed in the Diia mobile application by the end of January 2025. Over the more than a year of operation of the Unified Weapons Registry, which began operating on June 23, 2023, police agencies have received more than 483,000 applications for various types of permits, and police officers have made more than 469,000 decisions to issue permits. On June 23, 2023, the Unified Weapons Registry came into operation in Ukraine.
