The russian occupiers have significantly reduced the activity of sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the Sumy direction, although they previously operated actively in the border area, including in Chernihiv and Kharkiv Regions. The spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andrii Demchenko, stated this on the air of the United News marathon, FREEDOM reports.
It is also reported that the russian occupiers are actively using FPV drones and aircraft on fiber optics.
"Now the number of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups has significantly decreased. We do not record such a large number of applications, although previously the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups operated quite actively, especially within the Sumy Region. The threat has never disappeared for the Kharkiv Region, where enemy saboteurs were also exposed this year, and for the Chernihiv Region," Demchenko emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the 7th Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed footage of the liquidation of sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the russian occupiers in Pokrovsk.
Counterintelligence of the Security Service detained an agent of the russian military intelligence (GRU), who was preparing a breakthrough of sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the aggressor country of the russian federation in the direction of Sumy.
