Ukrainian farmers have already harvested almost 20 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
This is stated in a message of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The message states that as of August 8, 2025, 19,909,800 tons of early grain and leguminous crops have already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of 5,299,500 hectares.
47% of the areas sown with these crops have already been threshed.
In particular: wheat - threshed 3,713,400 hectares, harvested - 14,914,100 tons; barley - threshed 1,165,8 hectares, harvested - 4,250,000 tons; peas - threshed 223,700 hectares, harvested – 541,200 tons.
Other grains and legumes were threshed on an area of 195,100 hectares and harvested – 203,600 tons.
Among the leaders, in particular: the Odesa Region - threshed 1,070,400 hectares, harvested - 3,089,100 tons; Kirovohrad Region - threshed 521,000 hectares, harvested - 2,161,600 tons; Poltava Region - threshed 361,300 hectares, harvested - 1,636,500 tons.
Rapeseed has already been harvested in the volume of 2,538,200 tons on an area of 1,023,400 hectares.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrainian farmers have harvested more than 15 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
As of August 1, 2025, 4,423,900 hectares have already been threshed in Ukraine and 15,474,000 tons of early grain and leguminous crops have been harvested.
For 2025, farmers planned to sow more than 5.7 million hectares of spring grain and leguminous crops, which corresponds to the level of 2024.
The main feature of the new season was the increase in the area under spring wheat to 227,500 hectares.
