Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Ukraine is ready to cooperate with Japan in the field of unmanned technologies, including the joint production of UAVs, drawing on the experience gained during the war with the aggressor country of russia. He noted this in an interview with Kyodo News.
"We are now world leaders in the production of drones... We are ready to share our experience with Japan and cooperate in the production of, for example, drones, which will be mutually beneficial," Sybiha said.
Citing the "sensitive area" of Japan's strict rules on arms transfers under its Constitution, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister suggested that the types of drones being considered for such cooperation could vary "from agricultural to reconnaissance."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine and the United States are creating a joint venture to produce special chemicals for the needs of the defense sector.
It was also reported that in early July, Ukraine agreed with the American company Swift Beat on cooperation in the production of interceptor drones.
