Ukraine has agreed with the American company Swift Beat on cooperation in the production of interceptor drones.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The visit to Denmark begins with an important step for our defense. There is an agreement on Ukrainian-American cooperation for the production of drones, and in particular interceptor drones - this is an obvious priority. An agreement has been signed with the strong American company Swift Beat. And we are talking about hundreds of thousands of drones this year and the opportunity to significantly scale production next year," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that now Ukraine will have much more interceptors to destroy enemy drones and missiles, quadcopters for reconnaissance and fire correction, and long-range strike drones, just enough to ensure the implementation of defense tasks and protect the lives of Ukrainians.
He also reported that during the visit to Denmark, the Ukrainian delegation will continue working on new such agreements for the sake of joint production, joint development, and joint defense.
The President's Office reported that in Denmark, in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and CEO of Swift Beat, LLC Eric Schmidt signed a memorandum on long-term strategic partnership.
The document provides for the expansion of the company's production capacities, and modern drones will be supplied to Ukraine as a priority, on special terms and at cost.
The company will produce interceptor drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to destroy russian drones and missiles, quadcopters for reconnaissance, surveillance, fire control and logistics, as well as medium-class strike drones to destroy enemy targets.
It is also planned to develop new innovative solutions - these are interceptors of cruise and ballistic missiles, automatic turrets, and reconnaissance platforms.
Swift Beat, LLC is an American company with a significant presence in Ukraine, specializing in the production of autonomous drones with artificial intelligence, and also actively cooperates with Ukrainian engineers and the military, conducting drone testing on the territory of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in June, Zelenskyy announced that Denmark would become the first country with which Ukraine would launch joint production of long-range drones and missiles outside Ukraine.
