Cabinet appoints First Deputy Minister of Energy and Deputy Minister for European Integration

The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Artem Nekrasov as the First Deputy Minister of Energy and Olha Yukhymchuk as the Deputy Minister for European Integration.

The Ministry of Energy has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Artem Nekrasov previously served as the Director of the Guaranteed Buyer state enterprise.

He has significant experience in the energy sector, having worked at an enterprise for the design, production and implementation of highly maneuverable gas-fired electricity generation; at enterprises for the distribution and supply of electricity.

For a long time, he held managerial positions at JSC Kharkivoblenergo, worked at OJSC Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo and OJSC Sumyoblenergo, SE KALUSKA TETS-NOVA and SE NVKH ZORYA-MASHPROEKT.

Olha Yukhymchuk has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for European Integration.

Prior to this, since October 2024, Yukhymchuk worked as the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine for European Integration.

Previously, she was responsible for coordinating the Green Deal, environmental protection and climate change in the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Even earlier, Olha Yukhymchuk worked on climate policy issues in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 17, the Verkhovna Rada appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers of the newly appointed Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.

Svitlana Hrynchuk was appointed as the Minister of Energy (in Shmyhal's government she held the position of the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources).
