Rada appoints new Cabinet of Svyrydenko

The Verkhovna Rada has appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers of the newly appointed Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. This was announced by the MP from the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The Verkhovna Rada has appointed a new (or rather, the same as before) composition of the government of Svyrydenko. In favor - 254 ("Servant of the People" 193)," he said.

Thus, 253 MPs voted for the relevant resolution No. 13497 on the formation of the government, with the minimum required 226.

"Here is the new Coalition - who voted for the new old composition of the Government: Servant of the People - 194; European Solidarity - 0; Batkivshchyna - 0; Za Zhyttia - 13; Holos - 1; Dovira - 15; For the Future - 13; Vidnovlennia - 10; non-faction - 7", the MP noted.

Mykhailo Fedorov - First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation (in the government of Denys Shmyhal he was Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation)

Taras Kachka - Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration (was Vice Minister of Economy - Trade Representative of Ukraine)

Oleksii Sobolev - Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture (previously he was First Deputy Minister of Economy), thus the Verkhovna Rada decided to merge the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food with the Ministry of Economy

Denys Uliutin - Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity (was First Deputy Minister of Finance), thus the Verkhovna Rada decided to merge the Ministry of National Unity with the Ministry of Social Policy

Svitlana Hrynchuk - Minister of Energy (in the government of Shmyhal held the position of Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources)

Herman Halushchenko - Minister of Justice (in Shmyhal's government he held the position of Minister of Energy)

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier on Thursday, July 17, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Yulia Svyrydenko, who held the position of First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy in Denys Shmyhal's government, as the new Prime Minister.

On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. According to the Constitution, the resignation of the Prime Minister entails the resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers.
