Zelenskyy visits AFU fighters on frontline of Kharkiv axis

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited the Vovchansk axis of the Kharkiv Region and discussed the situation on the frontline. This is stated in a message of the official account of the head of state on Monday, August 4.

Zelenskyy visited the command and observation post of the 17th separate motorized infantry battalion of the 57th Otaman Kost Hordiienko Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade and the control point of the 57th Brigade on the Vovchansk axis.

"We talked with the commanders about the situation on the frontline, the defense of Vovchansk, the dynamics of the fighting. We separately raised the issue of providing drones and their use, recruiting and direct financing of the brigades," the President noted.

Zelenskyy also met with soldiers of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Ivan Sirko, who are holding a difficult section of the front - Lyptsi.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine confirms its readiness to meet at the leadership level at any time to establish a lasting peace.

Also on August 1, Zelenskyy reported that in July, the aggressor country russia used more than 5,100 guided aerial bombs (KABs), 3,800 Shaheds, and almost 260 missiles against Ukraine, 128 of which are ballistic.

On July 29, Zelenskyy stated that russia is very afraid of sanctions, although it pretends that this will not change anything.
