Partners confirm positive signals from US regarding decisive action against russia - Yermak

Head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak reported that partners confirmed positive signals from the US regarding decisive action against the aggressor country Russia. Yermak announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Yermak said in particular that he had a conversation with the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Great Britain Jonathan Powell, the Diplomatic Advisor to the President of France Emmanuel Bonne, the National Security Advisor to the Chancellor of Germany Günter Sautter, and the Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Italy Pietro Carini.

"The partners confirmed the presence of positive signals from the White House regarding decisive action against the russian federation, in particular, regarding sanctions on russian oil and secondary duties after the expiration of the 10-day deadline set by President Donald Trump," he said.

The interlocutors discussed the preparation, according to Yermak, of a historic bilateral agreement between Ukraine and the United States in the security sphere, which will provide for financial support from European partners.

They also discussed the negotiation process on opening the first cluster on the path of Ukraine's accession to the EU.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the United States stressed in the UN Security Council that Trump "made it clear" that he wants to conclude an agreement to end russia's war against Ukraine by August 8.

Trump previously stated that russian dictator vladimir putin has 10 days to cease fire in Ukraine, otherwise Washington will impose the promised duties against Moscow.
