Search and rescue operations in Kyiv completed, russia killed 31 people, including five children, on the night of July 31. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"There was a report by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko. Emergency and restoration work is underway in Kyiv at the sites affected by yesterday's attack. All search and rescue operations have been completed. Unfortunately, as of now, 31 people are known to have been killed, including 5 children. The youngest child was only two years old. My condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. 159 people were injured, 16 of them are children," he said.

Zelenskyy noted that such a vile attack by russia shows that additional pressure on Moscow and sanctions are needed, Ukraine appreciates the fact that US President Donald Trump, European leaders, and our other partners see what is happening and condemn russia.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of July 31, russian terrorist forces launched a combined strike on Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that in total, the aggressor country of russia launched more than 300 drones and 8 missiles at Ukraine during the attack, but the main target was Kyiv. Destruction was recorded in 4 districts of the capital, in particular, in the Sviatoshynskyi district, an entire entrance to a residential building collapsed.

August 1 was declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv in memory of the victims of russia's massive attack on the capital on the night of July 31.
