A russian strike on the night of Thursday, July 31, damaged the Islamic Cultural Center in Kyiv. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced this on X, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"One of the brutal Russian strikes on Kyiv this night damaged the Islamic Cultural Center of Kyiv in one of our central mosques. This is another demonstration that Moscow is waging a criminal war against the very foundations of humanity. Russian terror spares no one," he said.
Sybiha noted that Ukraine calls on all Muslim countries, international governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as Muslim communities around the world to speak out, react and condemn this strike.
"Russian barbarism must be resisted with the strength and unity of the world. Together we must force Moscow to agree to a ceasefire and put an end to its war and terror," he stressed.
Sybiha also, reacting to the russian attack on Ukraine and in particular on Kyiv, noted that it is time to reduce to zero all the deadlines given to russian dictator vladimir putin to demonstrate a constructive approach.
