Capacity bookings on Trans-Balkan route increases by 2.6 times

Capacity bookings on the Trans-Balkan route increased by 2.6 times.

This is indicated in a statement by the Ministry of Energy, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to the results of the auction on the RBP platform, 20% of the capacity of the Trans-Balkan gas route has been booked for August 2025.

The statement says that thanks to the new joint capacity booking product initiated by the Ministry of Energy and the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, the cost of transportation along this corridor has decreased by 25%, opening up new opportunities for diversifying supplies and using Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities.
