The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed First Deputy Minister of Social Policy Daria Marchak as Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture. This is stated in Order No. 780 of July 25, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"To appoint Marchak Daria Mykolaivna as Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine," the document states.
By Order No. 762 of July 25, the Cabinet dismissed Marchak from the post of First Deputy Minister of Social Policy at her own request.
41-year-old Marchak has been First Deputy Minister of Social Policy since July 2022.
From 2019 to 2022, she was First Deputy Director of the Prozorro. Sales State Enterprise; as well as Head of the Center for Public Finance Analysis of the Kyiv School of Economics (on a non-profit basis).
From March 2018 to August 2019, Marchak was a consultant to the World Bank on land reform advocacy in Ukraine.
In 2017-2019, she was an advisor to the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers for public administration reform, in 2016-2017, she was the Director of Communications and Relations with State Authorities of the Ukrposhta Ukrainian state postal enterprise, from January 2015 to May 2016, an advisor to the Minister of Finance Natalia Yaresko on communications issues; Head of Communications of the Ministry of Finance.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, on July 17, the Verkhovna Rada appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers of the newly appointed Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, in particular, Oleksii Soboliev was appointed Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture (previously he was First Deputy Minister of Economy), thus the Rada decided to merge the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food with the Ministry of Economy.
