Russia preparing offensive on Kupyansk and trying to transfer infantry across Oskil River - Kharkiv OSTG

The russian occupiers are trying to transfer infantry across the Oskil River to create a bridgehead for offensive operations in the direction of Kupyansk. This was reported by Pavlo Shamshyn, spokesman for the Kharkiv Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG), on the air of We-Ukraine.

It is reported that the russians have long crossed the Oskil River, but currently cannot transfer significant forces or equipment there.

"We must understand that the russians have crossed the Oskil River for quite some time, and now they continue to transfer their infantry to the western bank of the Oskil in order to create a threat to the city of Kupyansk from the north, namely along the right bank. It is obvious that they are trying to prepare the conditions for the encirclement or assault of the city. But we must understand that at the moment they can only transfer infantry and certain weapons to the western bank of the Oskil. They have made attempts to establish pontoon crossings across the Oskil, but each time our aerial reconnaissance has detected and destroyed such equipment. Therefore, the enemy's logistical capabilities for transferring transport or heavy equipment across the Oskil are extremely limited," Shamshin said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 24, 174 combat clashes took place at the front, the hottest Axes were Pokrovsk (57 clashes), North-Slobozhansk, Kursk (25) and Lyman (24).
