President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff. This is stated in decree No. 546 of July 24, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"To introduce Yulia Anatoliivna Svyrydenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine, to the personal staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff," the document states.
Zelenskyy also approved Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, as the coordinator of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff.
At the same time, he removed former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Lytvynenko and former Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin from the Staff.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 17, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Yulia Svyrydenko as the new Prime Minister and a new Cabinet of Ministers.
Zelenskyy created the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff on February 24, 2022, in connection with russia's armed aggression against Ukraine to provide strategic leadership to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations, and law enforcement agencies.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff was headed by Zelenskyy.
