On Friday, July 25, eight airports in russia temporarily suspended operations due to an air threat. The reason was a drone attack, russian media reported.
This concerns a complete or partial suspension of flights in Vladikavkaz, Grozny, Magas, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik, Stavropol, Sochi and Tambov. The airspace over the relevant regions has been closed.
The country has introduced a special aviation regime, "Plan Kover" [Plan Carpet], which requires an emergency landing of all civilian aircraft or their removal from the danger zone. Only military and rescue vessels can remain in the air.
In general, dozens of flights have been delayed due to the situation. In particular, 45 aircraft are delayed for departure and arrival at the Sochi airport.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, drone attacks in russia previously caused a collapse in air traffic. Hundreds of flights were canceled, delayed or rescheduled, and thousands of russians were stranded at airports.
Meanwhile, on the night of July 25, drones struck two russian plants important to the aggressor state's military-industrial complex. These were the Nevinnomyssk Nitrogen Plant and the Kotovsky Gunpowder Plant.
