On the evening of July 24, a large-scale outage occurred in the Starlink satellite internet, affecting users in various countries, including Ukraine. This was reported by the company, as well as the Ukrainian military.
"Starlink is not working on the entire front," said the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi (call sign "Magyar"). This caused temporary communication difficulties at the front line.
According to Downdetector, in just half an hour, users sent more than 56,000 complaints. The outage was recorded in the USA, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The cause of the outage was not immediately made public.

The owner of Starlink, Elon Musk, commented on the situation at night:
"Service will be restored shortly. Sorry for the outage. SpaceX will remedy root cause to ensure it doesn't happen again," he wrote on X.
At 3 am, Starlink Vice President Michael Nicolls reported that the service had almost been fully restored.
"Starlink has now mostly recovered from the network outage, which lasted approximately 2.5 hours. The outage was due to failure of key internal software services that operate the core network. We apologize for the temporary disruption in our service; we are deeply committed to providing a highly reliable network, and will fully root cause this issue and ensure it does not occur again," he stressed.
Starlink is a critically important means of communication for the Ukrainian military at the front. Therefore, even a temporary shutdown caused a wide resonance.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March, American billionaire, head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk promised that he would not disconnect the terminals of the Starlink satellite Internet system for Ukraine.
