American billionaire, head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk promised that he would not turn off the terminals of the Starlink satellite Internet system for Ukraine, according to him, he was misunderstood.
Musk wrote about this on the social network X (formerly Twitter), the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"To be extremely clear, no matter how much I disagree with the Ukraine policy, Starlink will never turn off its terminals," he wrote.
Musk added that his previous comment allegedly said that without Starlink, Ukrainian communication lines would collapse.
He emphasized that the US would never do this and would not use Ukraine's dependence on Starlink as a bargaining chip.
On March 9, Musk wrote a comment under a post by one of the X users that if Starlink terminals located in Ukraine were turned off, the Ukrainian front would "collapse."
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, CNN previously informed, citing two American officials, that the United States continues to share intelligence with Ukraine; the reduction in the exchange concerns data that the Ukrainian military could use to strike the army of the aggressor country, russia.
American officials added that billionaire Musk's Starlink satellite communication system, which the Ukrainian military relies on on the front lines, is still active.
At the end of February this year, Reuters reported, citing sources, that the United States may disconnect Ukraine from the Starlink system if the country does not agree to the terms of the negotiations.
A few days after Reuters published this information, Starlink denied this information. The company stated that it is "fully committed" to providing services in Ukraine.
