DTEK Zakhidenergo become largest exporter of electricity in H1, 2025

The DTEK Zakhidenergo power generation company became the largest exporter of electricity in the first half of 2025.

This is announced in the ExPro publication, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The report states that the TOP-5 exporters of electricity in the first half of 2025 included DTEK Zakhidenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, Energoatom, D.Trading and the Energy Company of Ukraine.

In the first half of 2025, electricity exports increased by 2.8 times compared to the same period in 2024 to 688,000 MWh.

The share of state-owned companies (Energoatom, Ukrhydroenergo, Energy Company of Ukraine and Naftogaz of Ukraine) in the export structure was 40%.

In total, 37 companies exported.

Most of the electricity was supplied to Hungary, 42% of all volumes, 25% was exported to Moldova, the Romanian direction took 16%, Slovakia - 14%, Poland - 3%.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June compared to May, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 2.5 times compared to May to over 237,000 MWh.
