In June, compared to May, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 2.5 times compared to May, to over 237,000 MWh.
The ExPro publication has informed about this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report states that exports to Hungary increased the most during the month - from 34,000 to 122,000 MWh.
In general, deliveries increased in all directions.
In June 2024, electricity was not exported.
It is noted that electricity imports increased by 5% compared to May - to 203,800 MWh.
Deliveries increased from Hungary and Slovakia, and in other directions (Poland, Romania, Moldova) - decreased.
Compared to June 2024, electricity imports decreased by more than 4 times.
Previously, ExPro reported that in June last year there was a record import (858,000 MWh), which was due to the need for additional resources against the backdrop of destructive shelling.
Thus, according to the results of June 2025, Ukraine is a net exporter - for the first time since October 2023.
In general, electricity exports returned to the level of autumn 2022, before the start of full-scale attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in May, compared to April, Ukraine reduced electricity exports by more than 40% to 92,500 MWh.
