The US no longer wants to be involved in the war in Ukraine and trusts its President, who "establishes peace through force." This was stated by House Speaker Mike Johnson at a briefing on Wednesday, July 23.
Johnson stressed that the fighting in Ukraine has been going on for too long, as a result of which a large number of people are dying. According to him, the United States no longer wants to be involved in the war in Ukraine. There is a desire in the US to hold vladimir putin accountable and end this war, because we need peace there, the speaker noted.
"This has been going on for too long. Too many innocent people are dying. We don't want the United States to be involved in this at all. But I really believe that NATO and our allies around the world can be effective. I think we're all tired of this and we hope it ends soon. But we trust the commander in chief. He's restoring peace through force. That's an important part of this process," Johnson said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 14, US President Donald Trump said he was unhappy with the behavior of the aggressor country of russia and was ready to impose tough economic measures.
On July 15, Trump said he was disappointed with russian dictator vladimir putin.
On July 17, the White House said that the aggressor country of russia would face very high tariffs and secondary sanctions if a ceasefire is not established in Ukraine within 50 days.
