In russia, largest car manufacturer shortening working week due to crisis caused by war - CCD

The largest car manufacturer in the aggressor country of russia, AvtoVAZ, is preparing to switch to a partial four-day working week. This is stated in the message of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).

As noted, the company attributes this decision to "adverse trends in the car market", the credit crisis and "dumping by imported brands", which are mainly Chinese manufacturers.

"Despite the fact that russian propaganda is molding AvtoVAZ into a leader in import substitution, arranging pompous presentations of new Lada models at international economic forums, in reality, the russian auto industry in conditions of war and sanctions is moving towards complete collapse, constantly demanding state support," the CCD emphasized.

They also emphasized that sales of russian cars are steadily falling not only due to the inability to compete with the Chinese auto industry, but also due to a noticeable decrease in russians' incomes and the inaccessibility of loans for them, which is a direct consequence of the war against Ukraine.
