During the flight on the Mirage-2000 fighter, the aircraft equipment failed. The pilot managed to eject. This was stated in a message from the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday, July 22.
The Air Force noted that on the evening of July 22, the pilot was performing a task on the Mirage-2000 fighter when the aircraft equipment failed, which he reported to the flight commander.
"He then acted competently, as should be done in crisis situations, and successfully ejected. The search and rescue team found the pilot, his condition is stable. On the ground - no injuries," the message says.
A special commission has been appointed to establish the causes of the plane crash.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 3, 24-year-old Air Force fighter pilot Captain Ivan Bolotov was killed while performing a combat mission.
On August 25, 2023, three pilots of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed, including the famous pilot Dzhus.
On July 27, 2024, a first-year cadet of the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University was killed during a training flight.
