"Since the beginning of 2025, 17 fires have been recorded in fields with grain crops in the Donetsk Region, 15 of which were caused by shelling by Russian troops. 3 cases of stubble burning have also been recorded, 2 of which were due to enemy attacks," rescuers report.

"Even one unextinguished match or a spark from machinery can destroy a field of crops," the department notes.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a large-scale fire broke out in the Tuzlivski Lymany National Nature Park due to the flight of Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones. Because of it and the noise of the kamikaze drone engine, the Flamingos were forced to leave their permanent location.

The Mykolaiv Region is suffering from large-scale fires; as of the evening of June 30, more than 50 fires have already been registered in the region, with a total area of over 400 hectares.
