The Mykolaiv Region is suffering from large-scale fires, as of the evening of June 30, more than 50 fires have already been registered in the region, with a total area of over 400 hectares. This was reported by the SESU of the Mykolaiv Region in Telegram.
"Three large-scale fires are currently raging in the city, where the fire has reached the residential sector due to gusty winds. In the Ternivka neighbourhood, where the approximate area is 10 hectares, the flames have managed to damage 2 residential buildings and 3 outbuildings," the message says.
It is also reported that firefighters are taking all measures, but strong gusty winds add to the difficulties of extinguishing. Reserve guards and water supply equipment have been involved to eliminate the fires. Local enterprises are helping to provide special equipment and water trucks, and firefighters from local fire departments are helping to extinguish the fire.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier a large-scale fire broke out in the Tuzli Estuaries National Nature Park due to the flight of Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones. Because of it and the noise of the kamikaze drone engine, the Flamingos were forced to leave their permanent location.
Also in May, a forest fire in the Kharkiv Region engulfed residential buildings. Rescuers showed photos.
