Over 1,400 residents remain in Pokrovsk, evacuation increasingly dangerous – City Military Administration

There are still 1,413 residents in Pokrovsk (Donetsk Region), evacuation is becoming increasingly dangerous every day.

The head of the City Military Administration Serhii Dobriak has stated this on the air of a telethon, hromadske reports.

According to him, 2,809 people remain in the community. He noted that the occupiers have been intensively attacking the Pokrovsk community for almost a month with the help of guided aerial bombs, artillery and FPV drones.

"The critical infrastructure is all destroyed, the social infrastructure is all destroyed. Also, the high-rise buildings, especially at the entrance to the city, where 1-2 km remain to the city, are almost all destroyed," said Serhii Dobriak.

The head of the City Military Administration added that the evacuation is still ongoing, but is becoming increasingly dangerous every day. It is no longer possible to reach most areas by evacuation transport, so people are leaving on foot.

In addition, due to the worsening security situation, it is almost impossible to deliver food to Pokrovsk, so stores will be closed in the coming days, the head of the City Military Administration noted.

"Therefore, I urge people who remained there, whose relatives remained: we are persuading people to leave while there is still a chance. Because the window of opportunity may close," Dobriak emphasized.

Recall that russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have penetrated Pokrovsk, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a sweep.
