The Cabinet of Ministers has liquidated the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources and created the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture on the basis of the Ministry of Economy. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The Cabinet of Ministers renamed the Ministry of Economy and created the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine on its basis. The Government supported the corresponding decision at the meeting on July 21, 2025. By the same resolution, the Cabinet of Ministers liquidates the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources and determines the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture as their legal successor," the message says.
Commissions have been created to liquidate the specified ministries and the deadline for liquidation has been set - 6 months.
The government approved the Regulation on the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, according to the document, the ministry will have the functions and perform the tasks that were previously assigned to the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Environment.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 17, the Verkhovna Rada appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers of the newly appointed Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, in particular, First Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksii Sobolev was appointed Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, thus the Rada decided to merge the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food with the Ministry of Economy.
