The Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General's Office have exposed current MP from the now banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, Fedir Khrystenko, in high treason. According to the case materials, this parliamentarian was a top agent of the russian FSB (resident) and was responsible for strengthening russian influence on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NACB).
The SSU has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Khrystenko was informed of suspicion under Articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine Part 2, Art. 28 Part 1, Part 2, Art. 111 (high treason committed by a group of persons in a preliminary conspiracy under martial law); Part 2, Art. 369-2 (abuse of influence).
According to the case materials, after the start of the full-scale invasion, Khrystenko fled Ukraine abroad and continues to exert influence on the NACB.
As the investigation established, Khrystenko was recruited by the FSB during the time of President Viktor Yanukovych and is currently in close contact with Yurii Ivaniushchenko (known as "Yura Yenakievsky"), who is a resident of the FSB and the "watcher" of the russian special services for the "DPR". In addition, Khrystenko was a liaison for the collaborator Armen Sargsyan (known as Armen Gorlovsky), who died in an explosion in one of the elite moscow residential complexes in early 2025. Khrystenko actively carried out tasks for the russian special services during the Revolution of Dignity. In particular, for the organization of the "Anti-Maidan", he used private carriers under his control to transport "titushki". According to the investigation, Khrystenko is currently in close contact with some of the leaders of the NACB. Among them is one of the heads of the interregional departments of NACB detectives, Ruslan Mahamedrasulov, whom the SSU detained today on suspicion of doing business with the russian federation and having contacts with "ruscists".
According to the investigation, Khrystenko knew this detective since the time they studied together at Donetsk University.
Another of his connections is the head of the NACB detective unit, Oleksandr Skomarov, with whom Khrystenko is in close contact. It was recorded that in 2022, during a full-scale invasion, Skomarov's wife traveled abroad in a car belonging to Khrystenko's wife.
Skomarov participated in the competition for the head of another law enforcement agency of Ukraine - the Bureau of Economic Security. The investigation established that if he won the competition, Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoiskyi hoped that Skomarov, as the new head of Bureau of Economic Security, would contribute to the closure of the criminal case against him. The relevant information is confirmed by evidence of Kolomoiskyi's correspondence with one of his subordinates.
Kolomoiskyi is not the only oligarch whom MP Khrystenko tried to help. It is documented that NACB detectives helped another Ukrainian businessman, business partner of Ihor Kolomoiskyi - Hennadii Boholiubov, escape. In particular, two NACB officers, subordinates of Skomarov, accompanied the fugitive oligarch when he crossed the state border of Ukraine: they were in the neighboring compartment of the train "for safety reasons". According to the investigation, the corresponding "special operation" was also organized by Fedir Khrystenko.
During searches of MP Khrystenko's contacts, materials of NACB criminal proceedings were found, in particular documents of secret surveillance of the defendants, as well as questionnaires of candidates for NACB detectives, which indicates russian influence and systematic leaks of information from the anti-corruption agency.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the SSU and the Prosecutor General's Office are conducting searches at NACB detectives who are connected to the russian federation. As a result, the SSU detained the head of the NACB department, Ruslan Mahamedrasulov, on suspicion of aiding russia.
