Ivano-Frankivsk suffers largest attack since beginning of war, infrastructure in 3 villages of community damaged

On the night of Monday, July 21, the aggressor country russia massively attacked Ivano-Frankivsk with missiles and drones, buildings in three villages were damaged.

The city mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Thus, according to him, the attack damaged infrastructure in three villages of the community, in one of which, according to preliminary data, there are victims - all in light condition.

"Unfortunately, there were a lot of strikes. Thank you to the air defense. To everyone involved in the defense of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. This is the largest attack since the full-scale invasion. I really want to thank the emergency workers, medics, everyone who is currently providing assistance. The information is being clarified," Martsinkiv wrote.

Later, Martsinkiv supplemented the information with data on the destruction in the villages.

"I visited three villages of the community, where civilian homes and civilians were affected. There are broken windows, broken roofs. In three villages. Thank God, everyone is alive. People have minor injuries. They have been provided with medical care," the mayor said.

He also emphasized the need not to ignore the alarm signals, but to head to shelters equipped in schools and multi-storey buildings.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of May 23, russians launched drone strikes on the Ivano-Frankivsk Region, and buildings and transport were damaged due to an enemy attack in the Kolomyia District.

On Monday, July 21, the work of the Lukianivska metro station in Kyiv was suspended due to damage during enemy shelling.
