Enemy struck Ukraine with almost 600 drones and dozens of missiles, President Zelenskyy reports on consequence

This night, russia struck Ukraine with 26 cruise missiles and 597 drones, more than half of which were Shaheds.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, more than 20 missiles and the vast majority of strike drones were neutralized. However, he noted, there were hits on civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings.

"As of now, we know about 2 dead people in Chernivtsi. My condolences to their families and loved ones. About 20 more people injured as a result of the shelling are receiving all the necessary assistance," the President said.

He stressed that the pace of russia's air strikes "requires quick decisions, and it can be brought down by sanctions right now."

"We need tough secondary sanctions against everyone who helps the "russians" produce drones and make money from oil. We need more air defense and investment in interceptor drones, which are already showing good results. The war can only be stopped by force. We expect from our partners not just signals, but actions that will save lives," Zelenskyy added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Saturday, July 12, russia attacked Ukraine with Shaheds and Kh-101/55 missiles launched from strategic aviation. For several hours, explosions were heard in Lviv, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv and other Ukrainian cities.
