On the evening of Friday, July 11, the aggressor country russia launched another drone attack on Ukraine. The enemy launched several dozen Shaheds and simulator drones, air alert spread throughout the regions. Closer to midnight, it became known about the takeoff of enemy strategic aircraft, from which cruise missiles were launched.
Air defense forces worked on enemy targets in the regions, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the movement of UAVs and missiles.
And in the morning, information appeared about the consequences of enemy strikes in various regions of our country: the main blow was directed at Lviv, Lutsk and Kharkiv.
According to the monitoring channel monitor, in the night missile and drone attack, the enemy used:
- Kh-101/55 cruise missiles launched by Tu-95MS aircraft from the Saratov Oblast of the russian federation and the Caspian region;
- Shahed-Geran, Gerbera and imitation UAVs.
Lviv, Lutsk, Kharkiv, and certain areas of the Kyiv and Lviv Regions were under attack.
The missile attack lasted 1 hour 34 minutes - from 3:24 a.m. to 4:58 a.m. The duration of the UAV attack was over 11 hours.
Due to the russian attack on the night of July 12, the Polish Armed Forces, together with their allies, took fighter jets into the sky, the official account of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces on X.
The message states that due to the activity of russian long-range aviation, which struck targets in the west of Ukraine, the Polish and allied air forces began operating in the airspace of Poland. Another pair of fighter jets were taken into the air. Air defense and radar control systems were also brought to the highest level of combat readiness.
"Measures have been taken to ensure security in border areas. The situation is under control. The forces remain fully prepared for immediate response," the Polish command noted.
