The statement of Polish President Andrzej Duda about the alleged intention to close the airport in Rzeszów, through which Ukraine receives most of the Western aid, is a manipulative interpretation of the words of politics and a distortion of the content of the statements. This is stated in the message of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on Friday, July 11.
The CCD emphasized that in the aforementioned interview, the Polish President did not say that he was going to close the airport in Rzeszów, as russian and pro-russian channels presented it. On the contrary, Duda emphasized the importance of Poland for transit for aid to Ukraine.
"Literally: "We could close the airport, but we did not do it. We could. It is known that the airport in Rzeszów is under reconstruction, but at the same time it remains functional and no one intends to stop the transit of aid to Ukraine through it," the report says.
Also, in an interview, Duda directly denied any plans to block aid to Ukraine. By disinformation about the politician's statements, propagandists are trying to show the alleged fatigue of allies from Ukraine and sow distrust between our state and Poland, the CCD noted.
