In the russian Moscow Oblast, the Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant, which produces and modernizes MiG-29, MiG-31 fighters, and also develops new models of combat aircraft, was attacked.
This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council, Andrii Kovalenko.
"The Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant in the Moscow Oblast was under attack. It specializes in the production and modernization of MiG-29, MiG-31 fighters and their modifications," the report says.
In addition, the plant is involved in the development of new models of combat aircraft, in particular, projects of a "promising front-line fighter" based on the MiG platform.
Also involved in the cycle of modernization of UAVs of the Geran/Shahed type.
Russian media outlet ASTRA, citing sources, confirmed the attack on the Lukhovitsky aircraft factory on the night of July 11. Sources claim that the factory was attacked by drones at around 1 am on July 11.
It is indicated that at least two drones allegedly fell on the territory of the enterprise and damaged a compressor station on the territory of the factory. One of the walls of the station building partially collapsed. No one was injured.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a factory producing combat units for Shahed in the Moscow Oblast of the russian federation.
