Trump may transfer another Patriot system to Ukraine - WSJ

US President Donald Trump is considering the option of transferring another Patriot anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Two American officials said that the head of the White House made such a promise after his statements about his intention to strengthen Kyiv's defense against russian attacks.

At the same time, the US administration has not yet specified what additional weapons Ukraine may receive in response to vladimir putin's refusal to end the war, which has been going on for three years.

Suspension of US arms supplies to Ukraine

In early July, Western media reported that the United States had temporarily suspended the supply of certain types of weapons to Ukraine, in particular missiles for air defense systems and high-precision ammunition.

The White House explained that this decision applies not only to Ukraine, but also to other US partners, since stocks in American warehouses have decreased significantly.

As The Guardian notes, such a stop is primarily due to the lack of missiles for the Patriot air defense system.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 4, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation. Zelenskyy discussed Ukraine's air defense with Trump.

Meanwhile, Trump said that he was "helping" Ukraine a lot.
