Ukraine and Denmark sign agreement to create Ukrainian defense industries in Denmark

Ukraine and Denmark have signed an agreement to create Ukrainian defense industries in Denmark.

The Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Today in Copenhagen, I and the Minister of Industry of Denmark Morten Bødskov signed a historic agreement. It paves the way for the creation of Ukrainian defense industries in Denmark," he said.

Smetanin noted that a year ago, Denmark was the first to start financing the production of weapons by Ukrainian companies, and today it has become the first country to which Ukraine exports its own defense technologies for production, scaling up and supply to the Ukrainian army.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Denmark would become the first country with which Ukraine would launch joint production of long-range drones and missiles outside Ukraine.
