The maximum capacity of electricity exports from Ukraine and Moldova to EU countries has increased to 900 MW.
This is stated in the ExPro publication, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report states that this is the result of cooperation between transmission system operators that are part of the Eastern Europe Capacity Calculation Region (EE CCR) and the TSCnet Regional Coordination Center.
The Ministry of Energy notes that electricity exports from Ukraine are carried out exclusively under conditions of a capacity surplus in the power system.
It is noted that since May 1, the maximum capacity of electricity exports from Ukraine and Moldova to EU countries was 650 MW.
This was the decision of the ENTSO-E Expert Group on Calculations of Commercial Electricity Exchanges.
Now the decision on the permitted export capacity to the European Union from the Ukraine - Moldova zone will be calculated by transmission system operators that are part of the Eastern Europe Capacity Calculation Region.
Namely – transmission system operators of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine and Moldova.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June, compared to May, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 2.5 times compared to May to over 237,000 MWh.
