Ballistic missiles and massive Shahed raid: russia launched heavy attack on Kyiv at night, over 20 people injured

On the night of July 4, Kyiv was subjected to a powerful combined attack from the aggressor state of the russian federation. The shelling resulted in fires and injuries.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, russian troops first attacked the capital with a large number of kamikaze drones, and at about 2 a.m. they fired several ballistic missiles.

Among the main consequences:

— at least 23 people were injured;

— several districts of the city were damaged;

In the Holosiivskyi District, a man was injured during the attack. In four locations in the Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi and Holosiivskyi Districts, drone debris fell near residential buildings. Medics also traveled to the Darnytskyi District.

The Kyiv City Military Administration urged residents to close their windows due to the large amount of combustion products in the air.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, among the injured were men and women aged 25 to 57. People suffered multiple injuries, burns and wounds.

In different districts of Kyiv, debris hit the courtyards of residential buildings, educational institutions, warehouses, garages and administrative buildings. Fires broke out in several places, in particular, warehouses and cars caught fire in the Sviatoshynskyi District, and in the Shevchenkivskyi District - the first floor of an eight-story building and private buildings.

According to updated data as of this morning, the number of injured reached 23 people, of whom 14 were hospitalized, and others were treated on an outpatient basis.

According to the State Emergency Service, rescuers are eliminating the consequences in several districts at once.

The Solomianskyi District: the attack caused partial destruction of a 5-story building. A fire broke out on the roof of a 7-story building with an area of ​​2,000 sq. m. Fires broke out in a warehouse building, on the territory of a service station and a garage cooperative. Much civilian infrastructure was damaged.

The Sviatoshynskyi District: a fire broke out as a result of hitting a 14-story residential building. Cars also caught fire. Several fires in non-residential buildings are being extinguished.

The Shevchenkivskyi District: an 8-story building that was not yet inhabited was attacked by UAVs, the 1st floor was destroyed.

Falling debris from enemy UAVs was recorded in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi Districts.

The air alert in Kyiv lasted from 5:15 p.m. to 7:24 p.m. and resumed at 8:00 p.m. In connection with this, the metro was temporarily closed on the ground and served as a shelter.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of July 1, the russians launched 52 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 14 of them, and another 33 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) means.
