On the night of Tuesday, July 1, russian troops launched 4 missiles and 114 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 40 UAVs, another 39 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
The press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of July 2 (from 9:00 p.m. on July 1), the enemy attacked with 4 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Kursk Oblast and 114 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Bryansk, Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"As of 9:00 a.m., air defenses neutralized 79 enemy Shahed UAVs (other types of UAVs) in the north, east and south of the country. 40 were shot down by fire weapons, 39 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare," the report said.
It is also reported that enemy strike UAVs hit in 14 locations and downed UAVs fell in 2 locations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of July 1, the russians launched 52 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 14 of them, another 33 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
