Ukraine returns group of children who lived under pressure from occupiers for 3 years

A group of children aged 4 to 17 and two adults were returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine from the temporarily occupied Kherson Region. This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on his Telegram channel on Thursday, July 3.

Prokudin noted that for all three years, children and adults were forced to live under the pressure of russian propaganda and prohibitions. One of the rescued is a 17-year-old girl who openly opposed russian aggression and refused to wear russian symbols. However, the girl had to burn her Ukrainian flags and embroidered shirts, which she had kept since childhood, so as not to put her family in danger during searches.

"A 16-year-old boy has not seen his mother for three years. His grandmother hid him in the house so that the boy would not be forced to go to a russian school. The occupiers tried to deprive her of her guardianship rights. And the youngest girl survived the russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, the death of pets and humiliation. During the departure, the russians interrogated her mother six times," the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration wrote.
