As part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, Ukraine managed to return nine more children who were in the territories occupied by the aggressor country russia.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, reported this on Thursday, May 22.
According to him, the children who were returned to their homeland went through difficult trials during the occupation.
For example, among the returned children is a girl who was barely saved, since the invaders do not provide quality medical care to residents of the occupied territories.
A boy was also returned from the occupation. The russians locked him and his mother in a basement while they tortured the head of the family. At school, the child was forced to glorify the army of the aggressor country.
The two girls who were returned from the occupation could not leave their home for almost three years. All this time, fighting continued nearby and russian tanks were standing nearby.
Another girl living in the occupied territories lost the opportunity to continue her online education according to the Ukrainian program, as the invaders blocked the connection.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 18 it became known that a 15-year-old boy who had not seen his mother for three years was returned from the russian-controlled part of Ukraine.
We also wrote that on May 14, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Bill No. 9495 on the protection of deported children.
Recall that at the beginning of this month, the Register of Information on Deported Children was launched in Ukraine.
