During the repatriation of the bodies of the dead, Ukrainian experts discovered two bodies of soldiers of the aggressor country, russia.
The Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported this on Telegram on Wednesday, July 2.
Klymenko noted that the following personal military badges of the armed forces of the russian federation were preserved on the bodies of the russians:
- Badge No. AB 846408
- Badge No. AB 449638.
"The Ukrainian side conducted the necessary checks, inspections and examinations. As a result, adhering to humanitarian principles and agreements on repatriation, the Ukrainian side returned these two bodies to the russian side as part of the official procedure," the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized.

The russian side may be hiding the facts of the repatriation of bodies in order to hide the scale of its own losses and not pay compensation to the relatives of the deceased, Klymenko emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on June 16, during the latest repatriations, the russian federation handed over the bodies of russian military personnel mixed with the bodies of Ukrainians.
We will remind, during the second round of negotiations in Istanbul on June 2, russia and Ukraine agreed on a new release of prisoners and an exchange of bodies of the deceased.
It was previously reported that there is a preliminary agreement with the aggressor country russia that prisoner exchanges should become systematic in 2025.
