In conversation with Macron, putin rejected possibility of ceasefire in Ukraine – Bloomberg

Russian dictator vladimir putin rejected the possibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine and a transition to serious negotiations during a telephone conversation, French President Emmanuel Macron told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This is reported by Bloomberg, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to the publication's sources, Macron informed allies, including President Zelenskyy, about the results of negotiations with putin.

It is noted that during the telephone conversation, Macron once again called on putin to cease fire and engage in "serious negotiations".

In turn, the russian dictator stated that the settlement of the war should "eliminate the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis and be based on new territorial realities", and rejected such a possibility.

"The French President told Zelenskyy that Putin's stance on ending the war in Ukraine hasn't changed and he continues to reject the ceasefire," Bloomberg reports.
