The area of the fire in the territory of the Pishchanskyi forestry on the outskirts of the city of Izium has reached 80 hectares.
The main department of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv Region has reported this.
The fire was the result of russian strikes from MLRS systems on the forest areas of the Izium district.
The rescuers received a report about the fire at 11 a.m. on May 4. The grass caught fire, as a result of which ammunition that had not previously exploded began to explode.
The fire reached settlements and spread to the roof of a two-story residential building, a private residential building, garages and a building and wood on the territory of the forestry production site.
Rescuers showed photos and videos of the fire extinguishing.
As a reminder, the russian army struck a branch and depot of Nova Poshta in Izium, Kharkiv Region, causing a fire there.
