Plan of russian army in Sumy Region not being implemented - Zelenskyy

The plan of the command of the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation regarding the offensive in the Sumy Region is not being implemented. The Ukrainian Defense Forces manage to restrain the onslaught of the occupiers.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this after a meeting with the Minister of Defense and the military.

"The russian plan for the offensive in the Sumy Region is not being implemented, and this is the result of each Ukrainian unit operating in the axis," Zelenskyy wrote in Telegram.

According to him, at a meeting held last week, special tasks and specific boundaries were defined for the Ukrainian military in the Sumy Region. As of today, these tasks have been fully implemented.

The President added that the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to implement active actions in the territory of the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation.

"The goal of the operation has been achieved for almost 10 months," Zelenskyy emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 26, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the Ukrainian army stopped the advance of the russians in the Sumy Region.

Recall that the previous day, The Telegraph reported that the russian summer offensive had stalled. At the same time, in the Sumy Region, the occupiers had "completely reached a dead end."
