The Head of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, responded to the words of his Slovak colleague, Juraj Blanár, about "forgiving everything" to russia, made in the context of the settlement of the russian-Ukrainian war. Sybiha stated that "those who did not lose anyone in this war have no right to make such statements."
He wrote about this on the social network X.
"Juraj, the feeling of impunity in russia is the root cause of its crimes. It is naive to expect that a criminal will stop if his crime is forgiven, and not punished. Russia will also hit the other cheek. And those who did not lose anyone in this war have no right to make such statements," Sybiha emphasized.
He attached an article from the Ukrainian Pravda to the post, according to which the Slovak Foreign Minister stated that he does not see a military solution to the conflict between Ukraine and russia and believes that it is necessary to prevent it "by diplomatic means and compliance with international law."
"Or maybe even forgive everything that happened," the publication quotes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Slovak Prime Minister Fico stated that the country will not support the 18th package of sanctions against the russian federation prepared by the EU.
